Welcome to Great Railway
Journeys of Britain

Welcome to our website detailing quality days out by train for 2014 over many famous routes throughout Britain. Our team of dedicated people have been drawn from a wealth of experience in rail travel. Our aim is to take the discerning passenger to great destinations and places of interest. We will provide a quality experience on board, whether you are in our superb dining cars, first class carriages or in standard accommodation.

Following in the footsteps of Michael Portillo, whose recent television series has created great interest within the British public in rail travel, our tours by train will travel along some of the most scenic routes in Britain. Our destinations in Wales will include the spectacular Cambrian coast line to Aberystwyth or the stunning Welsh Marches route to Shrewsbury. In the north of England, the Cumbrian coast line around the Lake District and of course the world famous Settle-Carlisle line will feature in many of our special trains. Visit the famous Bluebell Railway in Sussex now that the connection has been made to the main line at East Grinstead.

We have teamed up with Riviera Trains to operate our charters. Riviera have been in the business nearly 20 years and have a range of quality coaching stock available for our new range of trains.

When booking on line or direct by cheque or telephone, we do not require any payment apart from a small deposit. We will inform you nearer the date of the train for the final balance.
